1991), and there is also an open-source project that brings this to Linux

and cannot comment on it. OpenSMDI has not had any updates since May 2001
or so.
Thank you, it seems to be an interesting starting point (if only I'm able
to program :). This can be one reason to learn programming, even if I bet
it's not an easy task dealing with SCSI after only the "hello world"
experience ;)
