At least before the soldering step above it will
_never_ work
reliably.
if you dont want to solder or hack asound, you can just run 2 jackds, and a resampling
client of both daemons (at once) like jack_diplomat.
obviously resampling lowers quality a bit, but chances are (s)he just wants cheapo io
otherwise they would have gotten a card with more ports, word clock slaving, etc..
