About the LTC and timecode: Lots of people use
"Plural Eyes" and closed

that is not an option for me. Really though I have a personal interest in
timecode, and some equipment that uses it. I want to try it.
Ardour has built-in support to decode LTC from a video's audio-track use
the timecode to align the video:
Menu > Session > Open Video ... Extract Audio; Extract LTC from
audio and align video.
Ardour also supports BWF when importing audio:
Menu > Session > Import .. Insert at: File timestamp.
but Ardour's video-timeline is meant for post-production. You can only
load a single video at a time.
Another option is to use manually use

and manually move things around. YMMV.
Cheers!
