Odd to hear that about JACK2. My experience was I couldn't get JACK1 to
run here on my main laptop, but JACK2 does fine.
xrun-packed? JACK1 on my musicbox laptop with RT kernel gets them. So
does JACK2 on main laptop without RT kernel. Both at roughly the same
rate. I'm using a USB soundcard, so I suspect the xrun problem is more
related to using a USB soundcard than the version of JACK.
FWIW, they both seem to be quite stable to me.

under debuntu 64. I have sessions fail to load that involve just A3

with JACK 1 SVN or JACK2 but I personally am more interested in JACK1
as it is reportedly more stable and xrun-packed than JACK2. I haven't
actually done any real testing with JACK2 yet but that was the case
last I asked Torben about this and so I just took his word for it.

I've had to manually add the .yoshimi folder to save yoshimi.state.
However, i save a state, including loaded instruments, then quit,
saving the current state, and when i reopen Y, the state is blank with
no previously saved instruments saved. (This may be a challenge for
the future, not sure what the current behaviour should be.)
The jack session stuff in qjackctl works though. I can't re-open apps
with it, (again, not sure if this supposed to happen), but it does
re-instate the jack-session saved connections as it should.
Not sure what other info you need.
