I don't know what the current situation is.
I guess I mentioned several times that only 2 of 8 ADAT ports of my RME
card are available by jackd and that there are always xruns when using
the RME card, so I don't use the computer to make music that much. IOW I
don't have experiences with current jackd versions.
I can't speak for the OP, but at least for
jack2 some time a go it was
wise to use -Xalsarawmidi + a2jmidid, regarding to accuracy.
I thought you only needed either a2jmidid or -Xalsarawmidi but not both?
