wouldn't it be nice to have a benchmark for
jack? like a software you plug to the sever wich would stresss it to the limits?
you could try out diferent preferences for jack and diferent kernels easier.
work has been done on this. its much more complicated than you would
imagine, and proper testing takes hours and hours.
