... midi and playing in timidity through linux
gui's brings no effect change.
You could try with the options -iA OR -ir
example:
timidity -iA -Os -j -B 4,8
You can dig out additional options with
timidity --help
and
man timidity
(press q to quit)
If that doesn't help you, try fluidsynth and qsynth.
