I can't seem to find where to do this setting? Link anyone, please?
Perhaps a misunderstanding? I wasn't talking about gmail, I was talking
about the mailman feature, that is available if you log in your LAU
account.
Absolutely zero miss-understanding here. Because this delete duplicates
cannot be turned off, gmail is about as worthless as tits on a boor hog
for mailing list use, precisely because you never get the message back
proving it made the list. So the un-aware keeping pinging the list trying
to get a reply from the list. Tain't gonna happen and eventuatlly
somebody will point out, in unpleasant language, that yes, we seen all 4
of your messages, but apparently nobody wants to do your homework for you.
I separate my messages into folders/directories - different ML into different
directories. I filter mail addressed to me into another directory. Well,
ages ago I got a message from the LAU ML in the 'mail addressed to me' folder
(either because it was CC'd or addressed to me and the List CC'd) so I
deleted it because I read all my list mail in the ML directory. Well,
guess what. It wasn't there!! :(
I was informed I had to change a setting in the ML options -- how stupid
is that!!
No other list I'm on requires you to do this!! Apparently, it's to cater
for Windoze users who don't filter their mail and will be confused
getting two copies of the same message in their in-box! WTF!!
So the default is to possibly miss a message. :/
The default should be to *always* honour the headers.
