For the digital level meters: Do you look at every sample? What are the
update rates? What are the peak decay rates?

ah ha that's one I've got but haven't looked at yet :)
the oscilloscope in it is quite basic, but it has decent level meters.
There is a dedicated oscillosope with more features, but I cant remember
its name.
