# jackd -d alsa -d hw:0
I created the file .asoundrc like:
pcm.via82xx {
type hw
card 0
}
ctl.via82xx {
type hw
card 0
}

I doubt your problem has anything to do with the
warning about the midi
setting.
Me too. :(
I swear that turned off all the line about midi and I also created corrctly
the ambient variables.
