somehow, or I wouldn't be able to shift between mic-in and line-in with

Why, then, does moving alsamixer over to the LiveDrive's line-in produce
silence in ardor?
Solved, Mix has to be set as a capture source, in spite of the fact that one
of the web sites (I forget which one) says not to use it.
