Of course ! I use it because it is easily and highly
customizable as the apps are mostly compiled and then match
exactly your hardware.
I'd like to add that - before you emerge a package - it is
necessary to set the so called USE-flags properly. Otherwise
it can happen that the application does not behave as
expected - and recompilation is usually a timeconsuming
task ;-) .
