Oh. I would find sidechaining a signal thru a limiter to bring out
the vocals or feature instrument an absolute necessity for mastering
so would anyone have an idea the best way to go to make this possible ?
BTW the technique is called "ducking" in some radio circles and is
most evident on AM radio when the announcer starts speaking the
background music drops in volume... it's not a monkey riding a
slider to get that mandatory affect.
Dont you do both of those with a sidechain compressor?
If you used a sidechain expander then the backing would be silent when
there was no voive and loud when there was.
