Hello everyone!
It's done:

I used the guitars and vocals. Guitars only partly. The rest is Roland XP-30
for the drums and clavia Nordlead 3 for the other sounds.
Dave, I hope, that you aren't going to hate me for this. :-) My objective
for this mix: A bass, that will do your digestion for you, a high end, that
will shred the brain and a dynamic range of a tea spoon. I hope I succeeded.
It was fun doing it. When the technical parts finally worked, it was great!

Thanks for a very cool and driving song! Oh yes, I raised the tempo by 5%,
when the mix was done. Not the best way to do it, but it does work. :-)

i like minimal music.
i like electronic music.
i even like some minimalistic electronic music, though i'm generally of the
trance/ambient/psy/acid house end of things myself.
but 4-to-the-floor, no backbeat and simplistic synth chords ... these are
abberations that are against the natural order of things. you are meddling
with the primal forces of nature, and you should atone.

First I read through the interesting exchange of POVs, then I listened
to your mix a few minutes ago.
For the record, I loved it ! Yes, it is utterly heretical. Nevertheless,
I feel that the gods of the blues approve. This time. :)

Thanks for the kind words. Well a cold plate of revenge, what goes well with
that? Perhaps a nice ale and a little mustard. Or is it a sweet dish?
I was surprised to find, that it worked so well. This song really has drive
and the agression necessary to not drown in all the brutality. A strong piece
of music.

I'll be interested to see, what you can do. I used very simple means for my
mix. No clever modern processing and mangling and the mix is not as cutting
and oomphing, as I'd love to have heard. I mean: If you do it, do it right and
no compromise. Everything else wouldn't have been a joke. :-)

this mix is doubly compressed and limited in many parts. Yes I brutalised
Dave's original material and my own. :-0 In this case Imainly used compression
and limiting to form the sounds and still I didn't get the bass drum, that
blasts you into the universe next door. Well, next time, if there is a next
time. :-)

Thanks. I can sympathise with you. That's normally how I feel, when I come
back from one of those rare weekends, which is only filled with Panterra,
Dying Foetus, Nile and Kill Switch. Though I'd much prefer Gould for
calibrating the taste buds again. :-)
Hm, we might try for a Musica antiqua mix. I could play the harpsichord. but
who will play the string section and possibly the flute? :-0

After all Ken's comment can be named humor, better than the comments
that where based on pretension and that played with book burning and
generated arts. Today even children get quartered etc., so IMO such
