Anyway I don't think that an app that reroutes audio to disk can
be regarded as illegal.
If you think that way even a stereo patch cable must be outlawed since
it allows you to make analogue copies of copyrighted works.

BTW: since JACK can route audio too, I expect it will soon be illegal too
and jack's developers extradited to Australia and tried before and australian
court. :-)

People have been arrested, prosecuted, and jailed for stupider things
here in the US. I respect Erik's decision 100%. He's covering his own
ass, knowing full well that the nature of the internet isn't going to
let vsound go anywhere.

yes, this is julian midgely's mirror which he put up after our

the possibility with Jack is quite realistic i guess... *if* those in
power decide to take things to extremes (which after all has happened
before with a certain norwegian teenager and a russian programmer....)
i respect Erik's decision too, although i am willing to take the risk
myself as i believe we have a stronger position in the UK....
if by chance i do run into difficulty i'll look into getting a freenet
node or hosting in Germany - by the sounds of it we should all move to
Germany, they're the only ones with their heads screwed on the right
way!....

Don't count on this! There are plans to prohibit circumvention of copy
protection in Germany, as well.
