I can't imagine what else would cause
problems with LADSPA plguins in
general on my system. It has to be Yet Another Operator Error somewhere.
If these plugins were this bad everyone would be complaining,
I'm sorry I missed the beginning of this thread, are there any specific
plugins that are acting up?
I think Steve will agree with me if I claim that some of the plugs _are_
buggy. But with so few bugreports it's difficult to fix. (unless there's some
LADSPA/swh list I've missed?)

reports, if there are enough interested people I'l set one up.
why not keep it on LAU until the traffic gets too high :-)

Thanks, but there are issues, the obvious machne to build it on (its the
build host and webserver + it has a db on allready) is a bit sensitive, so
I cant give anyone else an account on it.

While we're on this thread my immediate reaction
is to the general

recording. It would be useful to have a plain language description
of what the plug-in is supposed to do when you bring it up and also
what units you're entering, possibly with a suggested range.
A one line decription above the author credit would be good.
I also think that the usability of the (excellent) swh plugins would
be enhanced by some handy default settings for the faders.
So if you open - for example - Gverb for the first time, instead of
the settings:

which gives you quite a nasty effect, you had:

which gives you the sort of reverb that musicans are probably looking
for. From there, it's much easier to understand what the sliders do
by experimentation.
It's up to us users to give Steve a hand here. If we have favourite
presets for the swh plugins, maybe we should let the list know. Or
descriptions - although Barry's Satan Maximiser says it all.
