Hello everyone!
Trying to compile eq10q I have a problem: I can't compile plotmm and Debian
Squeeze has no package named plotmm.
Two alternatives: Can I exclude the GUI creation from the Makefile?
If not: in plotMM I get a problem, that sigC is not defined. Which package
to install for that? I have libsigc++-2.0 and libsigc++-02c (plus dev of
course). I also installed libsigx on a whim. No go. Version of one of them too
new perhaps?

here are the steps I followed to compile the beast:
get sources:
- http://sourceforge.net/projects/eq10q/files/EQ10Q-LV2Plugin-source-1.2.tar.…
- http://sourceforge.net/projects/plotmm/files/latest/download?source=recomme…
- http://sourceforge.net/projects/pstreams/?source=recommended
- lv2-c++-tools
required (those beasts I already have for guitarx):
gtkmm
boost
compile:
- edit source of plotmm and replace SigC by sigc and Signal1 by signal1
(same for all function with upper case letters), compile, install
somewhere
- compile lv2-c++-tools and install it
- copy pstream.h to where eq10q will find it
- compile eq10q with good PKG_CONFIG_PATH
I then have some .so libraries which I don't know if they
work or not. I never played with LV2 (shame).

The most important point is: replace upper case letters in
SigC::Signal[0123]

Thank you for the tips. I got plotmm to compile. But I'm finally and utterly
giving up on EQ10Q. I don't know, what is wrong with this software. But loads
of paths seem wrong for it. It didn't find my lv2-c++-tools and other
libraries, all installed from system packages. I had to link directories like:
/usr/include/glibmm-2.4/glibmm -> /usr/include/glibmm
But there were always nmore and then some single include files. I'm sick of
it. I think I can continue to live well with Fons' parametric 4-band EQ.

But did you install the various "dev" packages?
You should have "*.pc" files in a directory called
"pkgconfig/" below "*/lib/", wherever that's installed
in debian (/usr/lib/pkgconfig seems reasonable).
My compiling created lv2-gui.pc, lv2-plugin.pc,
paq.pc (for lv2-c++-tools as it seems), and
plotmm.pc.
Maybe you can search for those in your system paths...

Yes I do have all the dev packagesinstalled. Thanks for persisting... But
I'm really giving up. Not throwing good money after bad. :-(

julien, you are using a VERY old piece of software if it uses "sigC". this
is the very first version of libsigc++ which was severely deprecated after
the namechange to sigc. i suspect you will have other issues arising from
using stuff of this "vintage".

Hi Paul!
IOt's not me, who was using it, it was EQ10Q. I pulled the plugin a few
weeks ago, but then it was the latest I could get there.
Anyway, if I have to, i'll just use to 4-band EQs now.

You can get both plotmm and eq10q from debian wheezy
