WTF? I have tried repeatedly to unsubscribe from this list. It just
doesn't work.
I also sent a message to the listadmin, but nothing ever happens. What
the fuck is it with this list?

There's an unsubscribe button at the bottom of this page:
http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
Please click it, it will send a "confirm unsub" email to you, and you'll
never hear from the list again.

It could happen that a confirmation message never reaches the original
poster.
Did you try to send a message with an empty body, but the subject
unsubscribe
to
linux-audio-user-request(a)lists.linuxaudio.org
?
I don't know if it requires confirmation, too.
If unsubscribing by an email shouldn't work, a temporarily workaround
could be to send a mail without a subject, but message body
set authenticate PASSWORD
set delivery off
to
linux-audio-user-request(a)lists.linuxaudio.org
JFTR _not_ to
linux-audio-user(a)lists.linuxaudio.org
so you at least wouldn't receive emails anymore.
