Channels is by default 2.
Bufsize is by default 262144.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT

certain situations.
See the ChangeLog for a full list.
Library Versions:
This version requires that, at a minimum, libradio-0.94.0 and
librhpi-0.94.4 be installed. If installing from RPM, the version of
the currently installed libraries can be determined by doing:
rpm -q libradio
rpm -q librhpi
Database Update:
As always, be sure to run RDAdmin immediately after
upgrading to allow any necessary changes to the database schema to
be applied.

The Linux Digital Arts Mini-Conf @ LCA2006
(http://halo.gen.nz/lca2006/index.html)
will be held before linux.conf.au, Australia's national Linux conference,
in January 2006 at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand.
If you would like to present a technical session, please mail a brief
abstract (100-300 words) to lca-digital-arts(a)upstage.org.nz by
Monday, December 19th 2005.
In keeping with the developer focus of linux.conf.au, this mini-conf
will allow Linux audio, video and arts developers to meet and share
ideas, and also to discuss audio/video-related issues with the
developers of the kernel, networking and desktop systems. For all
users, this will be a great way to see and hear the variety of tools
available. Suggested topic areas include:
* Linux for Digital Audio Workstations and musical instruments
* Video for Linux
* low latency and reliable audio in the Linux kernel and userspace
* Networked & distributed audio-visual applications on Linux
* systems for connecting music, processing and control hardware
* core Linux audio subsystems: Jack, ALSA, LADSPA, etc.
* Linux media frameworks: gstreamer, vlc, xine, etc.
* software synthesis and sequencing applications
* recording, editing and mastering applications
* audio & video file formats and codecs
* streaming and network services for audio and video
* telephony and speech technologies
* multicast video conferencing on Linux
* usability of music and audio applications
* audio & video on Linux devices, e.g. mobile phones, set-top box, IPTV
* audio/video podcasting on Linux
* video editing on Linux
* Linux Radio applications
* Uses of non-standard I/O, e.g. mechanical control, blinkenlights
* Linux games
Presentations must relate to Free and open source software and/or open
standards.
Hi,
Just to let you know about this small-fix release on QjackCtl, that only
affects the MIDI connections (re)nomenclature:
- ALSA sequencer client/port name aliases are functional again; all
actual MIDI sequencer client/port numerical identifier prefixes are also
back in business.
Apparentely, this has been missed for quite a while, almost since
0.2.16. Only noticed this late week, thanks to Domenico Culturato.
You can pick it out from the usual place:

Enjoy,

Changes:
RDLibrary Useability Tweaks. When new carts are created in
RDLibrary, they are now considered to officially exist upon clicking
the 'OK' button in the Add Cart dialog, in contradistinction to the
old policy where they didn't 'stick' until 'OK' was clicked in the
Edit Cart dialog. The old way tended to be confusing for many
opertors, as clicking 'Cancel' in the Edit Cart dialog would result
in any recorded audio being deleted. Also then creating a new
cart, RDLibrary will now create a single empty cut within the cart
by default.
Various Bugfixes. See the ChangeLog for details.

ruby/audio is a library that makes dealing with audio data a little
easier than it has been historically in ruby. It also wraps libsndfile,
which makes reading and writing audio data a LOT easier than it has been
historically in ruby.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the
right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Hi,
QjackCtl 0.2.19 has been released.
The Qt(cutie)-based GUI control panel for the JACK Audio Connection Kit
service has come of age. You can grab it right away from the "official"
home site:
http://qjackctl.sourceforge.net
Release notes as taken straight from the change-log:
- Connections widget views are now properly refreshed after renaming
client/ports (aliases).
- Disabled system tray and ALSA sequencer support on configure time,
whenever building for MacOSX as default.
- Fixed the major issues with selecting an audio interface on Mac OSX;
the button the right of the interface combo is now much better looking
than it was before; input/output channel counts are also updated
automatically now (thanks to Jesse Chappell for the patch).
- Prevent the setting of the coreaudio device id on the jackd command
line (-n) whenever the default interface is being selected.
- The connections and patchbay windows are now allowed to have a wider
connection lines frame panel; splitter width sizes are now persistent
across application sessions (thanks to Filipe Tomás for the hint).
- Activation toggling feedback on the patchbay widget has been fixed;
additionally and as found convenient, the most recently used patchbay
definitions can now be loaded immediately by selecting from a drop-down
list widget, which replaces the old static patchbay name status text,
and adds a lil'icon too :)
- All widget captions changed to include proper application title prefix.
- Attempt to bring those aging autoconf templates to date; sample SPEC
file for RPM build is now being included and generated at configure time.
- The current selected device is now shown with a checkmark on the
device selection menu(s), while on the settings dialog.
- Set to use QApplication::setMainWidget() instead of registering the
traditional lastWindowClosed() signal to quit() slot, just to let the
-geometry command line argument have some effect on X11.
Enjoy,

Changes:
ELR/Report Data Handling. ELR/Report data is now managed on a
Service-wide basis, rather than being associated with individual
logs. This is reflected in a revamped interface in RDLogManager,
where 'Generate Reports' and 'Delete Report Data' buttons have been
merged into a single 'Manager Report Data' button.
SoundPanel Configuration Permissioning. A new user right,
'Configure System Panels', can be used to control which users are
allowed to configure System (type 'S') Sound Panel buttons in
RDAirPlay.
Various Bugfixes. Including bugs affecting the ability to
generate a new Rivendell database and account lockouts when used
with certain versions of mySQL.

This version requires that, at a minimum, libradio-0.94.0 and
librhpi-0.94.4 be installed. If installing from RPM, the version of
