Our good friends at Kara Moon Productions have added a forum and will be
adding some "power user tutorials" and other examples on their web site.
These folks have been giving the development of your program a big boast
in the last weeks, so I encourage your support.
Visit and participate at: http://www.kara-moon.com
Stay tuned for a new version in the next few weeks.
And a favor: If any of you have experience with some of the budget web
hosts (BlueHost, HostMonster, etc) would you drop me a line. Yes, I'm
thinking of using one of these as a host.
Have fun with your music and with MMA!

On behalf of the Rivendell development team, I'm pleased to announce the
immediate release of Rivendell v0.9.73. Rivendell is a full-featured radio
automation system targeted for use in professional broadcast environments. It
is available under the GNU General Public License. From the NEWS file:
*** snip snip ***
Changes:
Group Colors -- It is now possible to assign a color to each cart
group, allowing the group to be easily discerned within library
lists and logs.
RDAirPlay User Interface Tweaks -- The Estimated and Scheduled
start time columns in the Full Log widget have been swapped.
RDLogManager -- Embedded breaks from the music log are now
associated with the start time of the following music event, rather
than the preceding event.
Many Bugfixes, especially pertaining to voicetracking and correct
log playout. See the ChangeLog for details.
AudioScience Driver:
Due to stability issues with the 3.xx ASI driver versions, it is
recommended that v 2.96 or earlier ASI drivers be used with this
version of Rivendell.
Library Versions:
This version requires that, at a minimum, libradio-0.97.2 and
librhpi-0.94.7 be installed. If installing from RPM, the version of
the currently installed libraries can be determined by doing:
rpm -q libradio
rpm -q librhpi
Database Update:
As always, be sure to run RDAdmin immediately after
upgrading to allow any necessary changes to the database schema to
be applied.
Cheers!

======= Announcing version 1.3 of Amuc =========
Amuc (the Amsterdam Music Composer) is a Linux tool for composing and
playing music. This version has quite some modifications, and now also
can import MIDI files. From its homepage
http://members.chello.nl/w.boeke/amuc/index.html
you can hear a performance of Piano Concerto nr.2 (first movement)
by D.Shostakovich, with the original notes (read from a MIDI file) but
totally different sounds. This concerto, containing more notes then I
ever could write, shows that a brilliant composition keeps its strength
even if fully turned over electronically!
Beta 0.23 of MMA - Musical MIDI Accompaniment - is now
available for downloading. Included in this release:
A number of minor bugfixes; new RNDSEED command;
a number of new and improved library files.
MMA is a accompaniment generator -- it creates midi tracks
for a soloist to perform with. User supplied files contain
pattern selections, chords, and MMA directives. For full details
