On behalf of the entire Rivendell development team, I'm pleased to announce the availability of the next production release of the next major version of Rivendell, 3.2.0. Rivendell is a full-featured radio automation system targeted for use in professional broadcast environments. It is available under the GNU General Public License version 2. From the 'NEWS' file: Changes: *** snip snip *** Changes: Voice Tracker. Added the ability to configure the caption displayed for the first and third voicetrack waveforms in the Voicetracker dialog in rdlogedit(1). Display Fonts. Reworked the font management system to permit the fonts used in the UI to be specified in rd.conf(5). Various bug fixes. See the 'ChangeLog' for details. Database Update: This version of Rivendell uses database schema version 311, and will automatically upgrade any earlier versions. To see the current schema version prior to upgrade, see RDAdmin->SystemInfo. Vee One Suite 0.9.11 - A Halloween'19 Release

Horror! The 'Vee One Suite' of so called 'old-school' software instruments, synthv1 [1] as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1 [2] a polyphonic sampler synthesizer, drumkv1 [3] as yet another drum-kit sampler and padthv1 [4] as a polyphonic additive synthesizer, are here and now released for the global Halloween evening, and all making up to this mythical version 0.9.11 ;) As always, all provided in dual form: - a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session [5], NSM (Non Session management [6]) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI [7] input support; - a LV2 instrument plug-in [8]. Changes for this creepy release are quite revolutionary;) - When using autotools and ./configure --with-qt=..., it is also necessary to adjust the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable (after a merge request by plcl aka. GlassCoder v0.10.0

I’m pleased to announce the next public release of GlassCoder, a minimalist live audio encoder. In addition to streaming to IceCast and Shoutcast stream aggregators, GlassCoder is capable of generating live HLS streams and publishing them to any standard HTTP server. Sonic Visualiser v4.0 released, along with Tony v2.1 and Sonic Lineup v1.0

I'm delighted to announce new releases (made last Friday) of Sonic Visualiser and two related desktop applications from the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary, University of London: Version 4.0 of Sonic Visualiser, a free, cross-platform, open source application for viewing and analysing the contents of music audio files, is now available. The main change in this release, and the reason for the major-version bump to 4.0, is the addition of a "boxes" layer used to annotate and export time-frequency regions. (Refer to https://www.sonicvisualiser.org/doc/reference/4.0/en/#boxes for a description of the boxes layer.) See the home page at http://sonicvisualiser.org for more information and downloads. Version 2.1 of Tony, a free, cross-platform, open source application for high quality pitch and note transcription from solo vocal recordings, is now available. Digital 3D models can serve both as the source for a sound synthesizer thanks to physical modeling techniques (i.e., finite difference scheme, etc.) and can be "materialized" with 3D printing, blurring the boundary between the physical/acoustical and the virtual/digital worlds. Embedded systems based on an expending range of architectures such as microcontrollers, GPUs, FPGAs, microprocessors, etc. play an important role in this context by providing extended computational power to run complex models and by offering the possibility to make hybrid instruments more portable and standalone. DrumGizmo 0.9.18 released

DrumGizmo 0.9.18 Released! DrumGizmo is an open source, multichannel, multilayered, cross-platform drum plugin and stand-alone application. It enables you to compose drums in midi and mix them with a multichannel approach. It is comparable to that of mixing a real drumkit that has been recorded with a multimic setup. This release is primarily a bugfix release but a few new features also managed to sneak in. Highlights: * Sample selection algorithm now behaves a lot better when using a small sample set. * Error reporting has been drastically improved when loading drum-kits. * Sample normalization option has been added.
