Hello Everyone,
PianoBooster is back! It has been a very long time since there has been an
announcement about PianoBooster posted to this list and there have been
lots of changes. First there is a brand new website see
https://www.pianobooster.org/ and the official source code has just moved
to a new GitHub repo. See https://github.com/pianobooster/PianoBooster so
please update your URLs to point to this new website and repo.
Piano Booster is an Open Source program that helps with playing the piano
and learning to sight read music. It's key feature is that it listens and
follows what you are playing on the piano and waits for you to find and
play the right notes. It helps you with this by giving you audio feedback.
So if you play a wrong note then that note will have the Harpsichord sound
but the right notes
will have the Piano sound.
The new features in this release is a built-in FluidSynth sound generator
which makes it much easier to use. Also included are two music courses,

Dear all,
AlsaModularSynth (ams) is a MIDI controlled realtime modular synthesizer
and effect processor with support for LADSPA and JACK.

announce the availability of the next production release of the next
major version of Rivendell, 3.5.0. Rivendell is a full-featured radio
automation system targeted for use in professional broadcast
environments. It is available under the GNU General Public License
version 2.

Podcasting Subsystem. Major refactoring, with explicit support of
iTunes and Superfeed DTDs added. All feed elements, including XML elements,
are now statically served rather than dynamically generated.
RDLogManager. Added control to specify explicitly how Start
Times/Lengths are derived for Inline Events (traffic, markers and
voice tracks).
Dropboxes. Added the ability to generate e-mail reports for each
attempted file import.
GVC7000 Switcher Driver. Modified the 'GVC7000 Protocol' switcher
driver to better handle stacked commands.
WebGet. Modified the WebGet service to offer audio profiles when
exporting audio rather than having the user set individual export
parameters. Added the ability to upload audio files into specified
Rivendell groups.
Audio Library. Deprecated the ability to enforce unique cart titles.

Database Update:
This version of Rivendell uses database schema version 346, and will
automatically upgrade any earlier versions. To see the current schema
version prior to upgrade, see RDAdmin->SystemInfo.
Be sure to run 'rddbmgr --modify' (as root) immediately after upgrading
to allow any necessary changes to the database schema to be applied.

Zrythm is a digital audio workstation designed to be featureful and
easy to use. It allows limitless automation through curves, LFOs and
envelopes, supports multiple plugin formats including LV2, LADSPA,
DSSI, SFZ, SF2, VST2 and VST3 (via Carla), works with multiple backends
including JACK, RtAudio/RtMidi and SDL2, assists with chord
progressions via a special Chord Track and chord pads, and can be used
in multiple languages including English, French, Portuguese, Japanese
and German.
Zrythm is free software written in C using the GTK+3 toolkit and can be
extended using GNU Guile (Scheme).
Zrythm is currently in alpha and we are working towards
stabilizing the project format and entering the beta phase.

THEME: “SOUNDING BOARD”
In addition to being part of the resonating chamber in a musical
instrument, the term sounding board is also a metaphor for a channel
through which ideas are discussed and disseminated. ICAD, established in
1992 has, through its 25 conference meetings, shared over 1,150 papers with
the auditory display community. This year, the conference will offer itself
as a sounding board for the community, allowing time to pause and reflect
on the history of auditory display research, review how research has
changed throughout the years, and discuss future areas of inquiry as well
as how to adapt our research during these challenging times. Therefore, the
ICAD 2021 committee is seeking full papers, abstracts, concert pieces,
demos, installations, workshops, and tutorials from across the full
spectrum of auditory display research and practice. From discussions and
reflections on the history of auditory display research with a view to
generating new ways of thinking about how we as practitioners should go
about things, to speculative ideas or news of late-breaking work,
submissions are sought across all the categories. We are particularly
interested in hearing from researchers who have never considered themselves
to be part of the community before, or whose work sits at the periphery of
the field.
