Guitarix.vst is the full blown guitarix stack as VST3 plugin for Linux, using Juce to wrap the guitarix engine into a VST3 plugin. It allow to load/save your presets, download presets from online and load external LV2 plugs and IR Files, like the guitarix stand-alone version. But all that as a VST3 plugin in your DAW. All parameters been exposed to the DAW, so accessible for automation. Other than the stand-alone, the VST3 version allows to switch the input to a real stereo input, so it may match better your channel strip in the DAW. For Hdpi users, the GUI is full scalable. Fluida v0.9.3 released

Fluida is a LV2 wrapper around Fluidsynth for Linux and Windows allowing to load and control Fluidsynth as LV2 plugin. Qtractor 1.3.0 - An Early-Fall'24 Release

Cheers everyone, Qtractor 1.3.0 (early-fall'24) is released! Change-log: - Use timebase-aware JACK API for relocation; provide `bar_start_tick` in JACK Transport/Timebase BBT information. - Always reset the target bus when copying or moving an Aux-Send insert into an audio output bus. - Mixer: fixed dangling track removal after one of its buses has been previously deleted." - Fixed MIDI clip offset resizing, most especially when drag-moving the left-edge. - Audio Aux-sends inserted on audio output buses are not restricted to later buses anymore; the only restriction now is that no cyclic or loop-back routes are allowed; audio output buses are now sorted internally in-place for correct processing order. - Update all Aux-Send inserts whenever their respective output bus gets renamed or deleted. - User preference option View/Options.../General/Options/Reverse keyboard modifiers role (Shift/Ctrl), now also applying to the play-head and/or edit-head/tail re-positioning in the timeline. - Plug-in name/title alias makes its debut. - Fixed a partial port-name filtering issue on the MIDI Connections widget. - Last selected automation curve color is now persistent and the default for all later automation curves. - Connections: connector line colors are now uniquely mapped on a (readable/output) client name basis. LAC 2025: Linux Audio Conference 2025 (Lyon, France, June 28-28, 2025) -- Call for Contributions

[sorry for cross-posting, please distribute widely] Hi folks, After a few "quiet" post-covid years, Linux Audio Conference is returning in 2025 (https://jimlac25.inria.fr/lac/)! It will take place in Lyon (France) on June 26-28, 2025 under the hospices of Inria, INSA Lyon, and GRAME-CNCM. It will be preceded by the "Journées de l'Informatique Musicale (JIM)" which will also happen in Lyon (June 23-25, 2025). LAC 2025 welcomes scientific, technical, and artistic contributions. It is free and as open as possible. In that regard, we slightly adapted the call below to encourage submissions by people outside of the academic community. While it is possible to submit academic papers (that will be peer-reviewed and published in the LAC 2025 proceedings), open presentations, not necessarily connected to a paper, can be proposed as well. The abstract will be available on the website during and after the conference. Presentations in this category have the same format as full paper presentations and will hence be presented during the conference as in-person oral presentations. *Demos *Demos are informal project (e.g., plug-in, software, interface, idea, etc.) presentations that will be carried out between the papers presentation sessions. *Workshops *Workshop presentations (max duration of 2h) should be 1-4 pages, with up to 5 keywords, including an abstract of up to 150 words to be published on the conference website. Make sure that your proposal indicates if participants are expected to have a specific level, if there are prerequisites, if you'd like to limit the number of participants, if you have specific technical requirements, etc *Call for Music * We invite submissions of electronic, electroacoustic and mixed music as well as interactive art installations with an emphasis on open source software. A jury will select the compositions and performances to be included in the LAC 2025 conference program according to artistic merit and technical feasibility.
