QmidiNet [1] is a MIDI network gateway application that sends and receives MIDI data (ALSA-MIDI and JACK-MIDI) over the network, using UDP/IP multicast. Inspired by multimidicast [4] and designed to be compatible with ipMIDI [5] for Windows. QmidiCtl [2] has been primarily designed for the Maemo [6] enabled handheld devices, namely the Nokia N900 [7] and also being promoted to the Maemo Package [8] repositories.
