Redhat sells its "enterprise" version of gnu gpl linux for a lot of
$$. As long as yuou provide the modified source to the buyer, you can
sell your product, but if you don't re-distribute your modifications and
try to sell it as a closed source product, then there's a problem.
However, its likely not to sell that well, because most musicians who are
interested in linux are usually sufficiently technically saavy to do their
own install.
Here is brand new a "live-CD" audio distro. Unlike Dynabolic and
more-generally oriented distros like Knoppix, et. al., this one costs $$

Check out how many of them live in Monaco to avoid the crushing taxes of Sweden.

Wrong. Most are in countries where they can be paid the highest salary.
Some very few are altruistic but that's their choice.

Health insurance is paid for by me, for me. Socialized medicine is paid for
by you and everyone else for me or anyone else. Big difference.

I know your country of origin. How many countries have you traveled to in
the last 30 years? I've worked on six continents (I don't really want to go to
Antarctica). More third world countries than you can name. I see the world as
it is, not the way I want it to be. Which leads right back to the original
reason for all of this. Some stories don't have happy endings.

Forgot to mention that my hdsp stuff and alsa were compiled from source so
there should be no RPM-did-it issues here. ;-)

I'm going to drop this now since it's difficult to carry on a discussion with

Hello,
Could people suggest to me their favourite filters for noise from
broadcast recordings?
The sounds I wish to remove are electronic noise and warble from long (2
hour) files.
Thank you.

Please would you check your ground before posting stuff. There has been
considerable debate about Ardour documentation on this list, which you really
should have read. Some of us may disagree with Paul's policy on the matter,
but seeing as he's gone to the trouble of developing this fine piece of Free
Software, the least we can do is respect that.

I still cannot get this goodie to work. When attempting to import abc files, I
get undefine symbol GSCORE_PLUGIN_INIT_STRUCT
Other bugs in this:
1. How does on add notes? I get nowhere with this.
2. "Key" is incorrect term for type of "cleff".
3. Time signatures do not appear.
4. Key signature is placed incorrectly on non-treble cleffs.
