Hi,
i've got a question, because I couldn't find anything in the documentation:
Is it possible to run Ingen as Jack Client and if yes, how can I do that?
I tried all the parameters and the GUI "ingenuity" (or similar) but
either Ingen
tries to connect to some unfamiliar servers or to start a jack-server
itself (which
doesn't work either).
Beside this question, are there other modular DSSI-capable syntesizers
besides
Ingen (since AMS isn't DSSI-capable)?

Hi list
As far as I can read on 64Studio's homepage, the realtime multimedia
kernel should come with support for dual core cpu's, but making a simpel
cat /proc/cpuinfo only shows one cpu. What should i search for to get
both cpu's working ?

fantastic,
Though I don't think I'll be selling my amp anytime soon. I can very easily
get similar sounds. This could deff save some time.
Folks,
What is the name again of that simple shell utility that simply
displays all MIDI data ? I'm troubleshooting an Alesis Control Pad
that, although always lights up Qsynth's green light, only manages to
produce a sound from time to time any not on every hit, with just about
the same velocity (i.e. the pad is hit with just about the same force.
The velocity setting is flat.
Cheers,
Al

Hi everyone!
Does anyone know if openBSD or freeBSD has support for JACK and ALSA? If so
are there major constraints?
Imprtant for me is: ALSA sequencer and JACK completely (audio/MIDI and
jack_transport control).
Kindest regards
Julien

Hi
I have a technical question that's not directly related to linux, but my
laptop (which is involved) is running debian and for this purpose csound...
I'd like to have an ultra easy setup with my laptop/csound and three usb
keyboards. Normally I drag three hardware keyboards, an external mixer
and my two roland cube amps. The onboard soundcard in the laptop is good
enough to be used in most situations, so I'm thinking: what would
happen, hardware wise, if I split the mini-jack output of my laptop into
two, one going to in-ears monitors, the other going to the PA? I expect
the output level will be lower, but can it damage the laptop headphones
amp, that's driving the mini-jack output?
