Snd-ls V0.9.8.5
===============
Snd-ls is a distribution of Bill Schottstaedt's sound editor SND.
(http://ccrma.stanford.edu/software/snd/)
Its target is people that don't know scheme very well, and don't want
to spend too much time configuring Snd. It can also serve
as a quick introduction to Snd and how it can be set up.
Snd-ls also serves as base code for the San-Dysth softsynth
(http://www.notam02.no/~kjetism/sandysth/) and the Snd-rt music
programming language (http://www.notam02.no/arkiv/doc/snd-rt)
Changes 0.9.8.3 -> 0.9.8.5
--------------------------
-Updated Snd-rt.
-Fixed player
-Fixed append
-Updated Snd-rt.

San Dysth V0.1.1
================
This softsynth has controls to generate various kinds of sounds inbetween
white noise and pure tones. It also provides controllers to disturb the
generated sound by using a "period counter" to extend the variety of the
generated output.
Common usage for the softsynth is organ-like sound, organic-like sound,
alien-like sounds, water-like sounds, and various kinds of noise (noise
artists could find this softsynth most useful).
Change from V0.1.0:
* Fixed load/save dialog.

//Sorry, I posted this first on the dev-list, but I wanted it here.
Hi folks,
we are currently developing a game using fmodEx as soundlibrary. Now we
are searching for a way to give ladspa (or dssi?) plugin-support to fmod
(for linux, win & mac).
Fmod itself:
"New file formats, output modes, and encoders may be added or downloaded
by the user as DLLs. VST and Winamp DSP plug-in support for effects is
included."
Does anyone has any experience with that topic?
Greetings,
Nils

A short description of those can be found at:

Apologies if this is not an appropriate mailing list. Just in case you
would like to listen (and tag) some music go to the following
address :) You'll need more or less 10 minutes for that.

Thanks for your attention,

I order to use my audio applications (related to latency) more efficiently,
I gave some priorities to the applications which are in the "audio" group by
adding the lines below, to the file "/etc/security/limits.conf"
@audio - rtprio 95
@audio - memlock 512000
@audio - nice -19
By doing this, to which application did I give the priority ?
Alsa, Jack ... ?
How is that defined in GNU/Linux ?
I mean,
Did I give this priority to all applications using the sound device or to
the applications that are included in the "audio" group ?
Who, what or which are in the "audio" group ?
Thanks.

Version 1.0 of Minicomputer softwaresynthesizer for Linux is now
available under GPL 3.
It is a standalone application which can be interfaced with Midi and
generate electronic sounds in realtime through Jack.
It can produce 8 different sounds at once but each is monophonic.
Although its a subtractive synthesizer, no existing hardware is emulated
and the sound is synthetic, don't expect a piano from this. Each voice
features 2 oscillators going into a morphing formant filter and a
flexible routing with loads of modulators which can go into audio range.
Everything is calculated sample accurate so it take its share from the CPU.
I am going to show it at the clubnight at LAC in Cologne next week and
demo it in March at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt.
Website inclusive sounddemos and manual is at
http://minicomputer.sourceforge.net/
Cheers,
Malte
