[LAU] The guitarix project release version 0.23.3

We are proud to announce the release of guitarix2-0.23.3. Guitarix is a modular tube amplifier simulation for jack, with additional Effect-Racks, inbuilt effects as well as support for LADSPA plug-ins. This is a Bug-fix release witch fix the ladspa_guitarix.so module guitarix-fx [UniqueID 4070] to avoid segfault when loading into a host. [LAU] [Android|OT?] CamSynth - Just an experiment

Hi, I don't know if this is on-topic or off-topic - technically it runs on a linux, but then, maybe, just, no, no Android on LAD?? :D But anyways: I played a little with Android Development and hacked up a little experimental Synthesizer app. https://github.com/fps/android_camsynth https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.fps.camsynth It's free and open source and renders 8 voices (on my LG-P500) with a trivial (and wrong :D) synthesis method where the voice gains are determined by the camera image at a 8 x 8 px resolution.. I guess it's somewhat a minimal project which can be instructive to some (the synthesis part is implemented in C via JNI). And the code is very small.. Have fun, Flo

Hello, When I see something like: JackEngine::XRun: client = X was not run: state = 2 JackAudioDriver::ProcessGraphAsyncMaster: Process error ...Am I correct in assuming that client X failed to read/write to its end of the graph in time and is where one should investigate? Hello, Here is release 0.02 of AnalyseLV2. Improvements in this release: - Now handles non-integer scale points (useful for plugins keeping all values between 0 and 1, such as MDA plugins). - Scale points and their ports are now printed in the correct ascending order. Get it at http://www.wolfdream.ca/x/misc/AnalyseLV2-0.02.tgz Read below if you don't know what this is... AnalyseLV2 is a PERL module, AnalyseLV2.pm, and a front-end script, analyselv2, which parses the output of such utilities as lv2info and lv2ls and outputs it in a format closely modelled on that of analyseplugin for ladspa. I believe this makes using LV2 from the command line, using such hosts as Ecasound, lv22file, and lv2proc, much more straightforward. The backend module can also be used by other PERL programmes (Joel Roth's Nama already uses it) to receive the information pertaining to a given plugin already broken down in a key/value structure. [LAU] Praxis LIVE screencasts / good screencast software for audio?

Hi All, Firstly, finally got around to some screencasts of Praxis LIVE in action - http://praxisintermedia.wordpress.com/2012/07/30/video-rough-cuts-1/ These are just 'rough cuts', unedited except titles and no voiceover. Only first 2 have audio, and the audio on the second is a little off in places (see below!) Secondly, anyone got a suggestion for screencast software that's good at glitch free audio? These are done with Kazam. First is mostly OK, but the second is a little glitchy. Finding only about 1 in 4 captures is any good - all sorts of weird glitches and sometimes speed issues, though the audio playback while recording is fine. Virtual MIDI Piano Keyboard is a MIDI events generator and receiver. It doesn't produce any sound by itself, but can be used to drive a MIDI synthesizer (either hardware or software, internal or external). You can use the computer's keyboard to play MIDI notes, and also the mouse. You can use the Virtual MIDI Piano Keyboard to display the played MIDI notes from another instrument or MIDI file player. Changes for v0.5.0: * RtMidi 1.0.15 patched by Gilles Filippini <pini(a)debian.org> enabling several MIDI drivers to be compiled at once, and allowing the user to select one at runtime. * Fixed Bug #3507732. Transpose does not update correctly the octave in note name. Thanks to Patrick Meaney for the bug report * Fixed Bug #3503768. Removing the shortcut for an action having default shortcut keys, the change is not saved upon exit, so the shortcut appears again the next execution. * Fixed Bug #3502659. MusE 2.0.1 has been released! This is a bug fix release that mainly fixes a problem with moving plugins in the plugin rack. [LAU] ANN: New version of Pd-L2Ork Software Featured in the Inaugural VT ICAT Maker Workshop for Middle-School Kids

It's been a busy summer--pd-l2ork <http://l2ork.music.vt.edu/main/?page_id=56>has been making big strides towards becoming a robust full-fledged digital signal processing tool. The latest version includes revolutionary preset_hub and preset_node system that supports a wide range of data types as well as abstractions. It is essentially Pd's counterpart toMax's pattrstorage <http://cycling74.com/docs/max5/refpages/max-ref/pattrstorage.html>. We've also squashed dozens of bugs and clean-ups making pd-l2ork better than ever. Perhaps the most exciting improvement involves Pd-L2Ork'sK12 module <http://l2ork.music.vt.edu/main/?p=1964>geared towards elementary, middle, and high school students. The new version has over 40 objects/abstractions, allowing students to seamlessly interact with both Wiimotes andSARC iteration of Arduino Uno devices (a.k.a. Petri-Foo, the fork of the soft-sampler known as Specimen, has a new release, 0.1.85, available: http://sourceforge.net/projects/petri-foo/files/Source/petri-foo-0.1.85.tar… This new release brings two and a half new features with it: (1.0) Non Session Management support (2.0) 'Full Save' functionality (2.5) Import (1.0) NSM support can only be built if the system has liblo installed. If liblo (the lightweight OSC implementation) is _not_ installed petri-foo will be built _without_ NSM support. (2.0) "Full Save" functionality increases the portability of Petri-Foo's 'dish files'. A dir is created (the bank dir) containing the dish file along with symlinks to external samples used. the bank dir can then be archived using `tar -h`. To use full save, just select 'full save as' instead of 'save as' from the file menu. Selecting 'save' will do the right thing after doing so.
