Hi, Has anyone here had any luck/difficulty with Hydrogen and netone? ex. jack -R -d netone Hydrogen works fine if connected directly to a jack server but here it doesn't make any noise if connected via netone. Every other app I am using works fine as a netjack slave. There doesn't appear to be any error messages so far. -- Patrick Shirkey Boost Hardware Ltd

[LAU] OPA FM Synthesizer Shield

Hi Everyone. I am new on this list. My name is Frederic and I am the developer behind the OPA shield, the FB01 sound editor and other multi-platform software or hardware audio related projects. I am trying to crowd fund the production of the first OPA batch which is a polyphonic & multitimbral sound module for Arduino & compatibles. [LAU] Some odd netjack1 errors at server and client

[LAU] Experience and opinions about audio FLOSS licensing

Hello dear all. Lately I've stumble upon some news and topics related to FLOSS licensing and some cases defended by the Software Freedom Conservancy [1] organization against corporations (see VMware[2]) that violate or just ignore the terms and conditions of these licenses. Given that here there is a wide range of people in different situations, from researchers, programmers that make a living developing software, developers (pro or not) that make utilities based on that software... and just users, I'm really interested in real life cases in linux audio software ecosystem. In this case about your experience, premises and reasons why you chose your licenses for your products or original projects, and same thing when you build upon existing software. Some ideas I hear here and there are along the lines of GPL 2: most used, GPL 3: avoids Tivoization, LGPL and APL: permissive for enterprise use and make business model easier (if it can be)... [LAU] Music: What Brings the Wind (c2016-07)

Greetings, An upbeat piece, "What brings the wind", is mostly acoustic sounding. In a rock way, that is. Mostly an acoustic bass guitar with plenty of string hit, two acoustic guitars buzzingly ripping their riffs. A basic kit of drums (bd, snare) played on the Korg Microstation. A piano from a M-Audio Prokeys88. Reverb provided by the free u-he Protoverb. Some forest wind noises, hence the title. Exported without normalization. [LAU] Music: Little Latin Jazz for Collaboration

Inspired by the latin-inflected chord progression of jonetsu(a)teksavvy.com here-- https://m.soundcloud.com/nominal6/c2016-03 I composed a brief piano-based latin-jazz piece. It needs percussion (drumkit, latin percussion, whatever) and has a space for a lead instrument solo (guitar, sax, whatever), if anyone feels like adding those collaboratively. I feel that whoever likes the piece enough to collaborate should feel free to post their version of the file on their website, SoundCloud, ReverbNation, BandCamp, or wherever.
