AV Linux 2017.4.9 Released!
An updated 2017 ISO for AV Linux has been released, it features a new
Audio Routing system,
many refinements and improvements and probably the most stable and
functional collection of
Applications across the board to date! The older AV Linux 2016.8.30
ISO's are currently still
in the FTPs and will be phased out soon, make sure to download the
2017.4.9 release.

Hi everyone,
a friend of mine from the u.s. just mailed me, to ask if I wanted a Delta
1010, that he can't use anymore, he only has a laptop these days. I think the
shipping alone wouldn't make it worth it.
If you're willing to buy one, hardly used, please send me an e-mail off-list.
I can put you in contact.
Best wishes,
Jeanette

I have used the same device for many years with no problems. I do not
think there is a fundamental problem with the device and linux, but of
course I cannot comment on whether the specific unit you have has any
failed hardware or not.
I do not run ubuntu so I do not have any experience with the specific
version of kernel and software you have, but I have never had problems
with the device running Fedora going back to around 2010, so kernel
versions 2.6.x through 4.10.

Hey hey,
it's been much too long, since I released something, so here it is:
http://juliencoder.de/nama/magda.mp3http://juliencoder.de/nama/magda.flachttp://juliencoder.de/nama/magda.ogg
Z Podziekowaniem Za Magda - roughly translates to "Thanks to Magda", a
rememberance of a beautiful moment.
It's a piano piece, containing a sort of toccata with an embedded fugue.
Beyond the obvious emotional motivation, this is also an experiment in
orchestration with reverbs.
So, my technical thanks go out to Joel Roth for wonderful Nama, the recording
software, which made it possible to realise my intentions. <3 Also to Hermann
Meyer for the Guitarix plugins, the Wah is fantastic!
I hope you'll enjoy it and maybe let me know if you do so or even if you
don't. :)
Best wishes,
Jeanette

Hello dear list,
For a friend of mine, I am looking for a static or dynamic (php only) website engine or static html5 generator for music production, giving to the public a blog-like website with audio and sometimes video. It would be ideally easy to use and have either an file upload handler, or scan files that would have been put through FTP to the self-hosted site.
I read several months ago such a tool on the LAU, but did not retrieve in my inbox the discussions about it, so i am asking again.
Thanks for your suggestions !

I have Pianoteq connected to Jack, then to ecasound for dsp into 6
channels, then back thru Jack to rme9652. 64 sample buffers. Should I run
ecasound in slave transport mode to make sure the pipeline runs
efficiently, with Pianoteq supplying a new sample set in lock-step while
the previous one is being processed by ecasound? The details about how all
this is getting done are fascinating, but a little murky in my head...
Thanks,
John

Hello,
This is an improv based on some sound from the Xebra soundset by Corin
Neff for the Zebra2 synthesizer. As I got the update a few days ago,
the first sound I played was the bass sound and the riff that I
played. I liked the sound, so I recorded it. Then I added a few more
synth ambient tracks. I grabbed the guitar and played along. This was
nice but it needed some solo instrument. I found one in Xebra and then
found the other in another Corin Neff soundset, 'Zebra Orchestra'.
Drums and some percussion round up the improvisation. Done in Bitwig
then exported and mixed in Harrison Mixbus32C. Then exported as stereo
track and reloaded in Mixbus32C for 'mastering'. Titled it '123' for
lack of anything else inspiring, as this was the 123th jam.
Synth sounds used:
Bass
ACBass+ Xebra
Ambient
Breathing Sidebands Xebra
Etheral Wind+ Xebra
Sparrows and Frogs+ Xebra
Watery Mallet+ Xebra
Lead
Cosmic Thunder Bell+ Xebra
RTW Slow AG Brass Zebra Orchestra

Cheers.
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for the software package containing jack.plumbing. I believe this
also includes jack.play, jack.upd, jack.osc and more. It appears I deleted my
local copy and couldn't find it through google, since I can't remember the
name of the package. A good tip anyone? :)
Best wishes,
Jeanette

Hi.
Anyone coming to the meeting at c-base today? I'll be there in the
mainhall from 20:00.
One nice thing is that we've been lent a sort of carousel with lots of
Eurorack modulars that we can play with. It's a demo thing from
Schneiders Laden (http://www.schneidersladen.de/en/), if you're
familiar with that.
Hope to see you there!
