Hi all,
MY END GOAL: Send 10 channels between OSX computers using jack
(Reason ---> jack ---> home network ----> jack ----> max/msp)
BEST ATTEMPT:
Set the number of jackrouter channels in JackPilot (Can't find how to do
this via command line)
Start jack in the terminal
SLAVE: jack_load netadapter -i "-c -P10" //starts jack
MASTER: jack_load netmanager
MASTER: jack_load audioadapter
Route stuff in qjackctrl
RESULT:
works but tons and tons of overruns, sounds horrible. Can't configure
because I have to do it in the terminal and can't find any documentation
for the drivers. Can't do it in qjackctl because netadapter and netmanager
don't pop up in the driver list.
What am I missing?
Hope this is clear enough. Sorry if I'm missing something stupid but I
don't know where to go to educate myself.

Thanks for the screenshot, I think that cleared it up.
The midi track you have created is set to output to the M Audio device, see
the Port column in the Arranger.
First change the midi track Port to the Fluidsynth device
then arm(record enable) the midi track, it's the red dot in the R column.
Now when you play the keyboard it should make sound.
I think I covered most of this in one of the midi tutorials (that are
getting old fast...) here:

It was a contribution from a user, the file seems to contain all patch
names and some midi controllers for this hardware synth.

Hello,
Is it possible at all to use any regular MIDI external keyboard to
input notes into the Muse sequencer ? I have a fluidsynth flute sound
loaded in Muse and it can play by dragging the mouse across the gui
keyboard. I have qjackctl and also launched a2j, but there's no Muse
in sight to make a connection between a M-Audio keyboard and something
in Muse. Is Muse a sequencer that only works using a software pen to
draw notes ?
Hi Albert,
I don't want to be a nuisance, but there's been no news for a long time, and I'm
wondering what the situation is.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
Hi all,
I have an mp3 file which is a full album, but I want to have each track as
a separate file.
Can I use Audacity - or some other application - to do the splitting?
I specifically would like a solution that does not decode the mp3 to PCM
data (.wav) and in the end I have to re-encode it as mp3, because this 2nd
compression would probably worsen significantly the sound quality.
Thank you and have a wonderful new year's eve!

CentOS tends to use HORRIBLY outdated versions of software.
after my daily experience with CentOS-based servers, i would not.
Hi,
I'm thinking about switching to CentOS (from Ubuntu) at home,
because of several reasons, but wonder: is it good for running Ardour,
Jack and related stuff? I don't mind using Ardour 2, as I don't need
anything very sophisticated, and would only want something that I can
configure once and stop worrying about. I do sysadmin work for a living,
and would rather not do it when I get home :-)
Thanks in advance,
