Studio Controls is an audio utility that allows setting up a JACK based
machine for every day use and features:
- CPU governor adjustment
- JACK real time access fixing
- Multiple custom pulse/Jack bridges
- Adding USB mics as JACK clients via zita-ajbridge
- Switching from ALSA firewire modules to FFADO modules
- Allows JACK to auto start at session start
- Allows use of pulse as JACK's front end
- NEW, connect audio and MIDI over network
- NEW, open mixer on any device or ffado mixer
With version 2.2, aside from many bug fixes, the changes include:
- Update GUI for better clarity as well as incorporate new functionality
- Connect Audio over network using zita-njbridge
- Connect MIDI over network using qmidinet
- Jack status gives info on startup and configuration
- User scripts can be automatically run at 5 points in the
Jack run cycle:
- pre start
- post start
- post bridge activate
- pre shutdown
- post shutdown
- Background process is much more stable

Hi all,
I've recently bought a new laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad T15 Gen 1 and I am stuck
in running jackaudio server on internal soundcard.
- pulseaudio works (without jack)
- external soundcard with jackd works
- when I run jackd on internal soundcard, everything look good (jackd is
started, log looks normally, patch graph in Claudia looks good, pulseaudio
to jack works (e.g. youtube videos had sound..), but when I run for example
mpv, or supercollider, the sound is heavily distorted. )
Does anybody know where the problem is?

I have a Raspberry PI with a PI Sound board. Wanting to use modep
(https://blokas.io/modep/) live I have hacked a pedal together and can
change settings with it.
modep is a gnarly ball of python and tomahawk (sp?) that I do not need
so I have stripped down the actions the pedal needs to do to eight Jack
operations: disconnect the left and right output and input, and
reconnect them in a different way to affect an effect change.
I have written a small rust programme with the jack crate to interface
with Jack. Four disconnects, four connects.
It takes over 200ms of system time, optimised rust. Two hundred
milliseconds is a long time.
Can anybody tell me why? Is there a solution?
I am hoping to get it down to ten milliseconds.

OK, thanks to Gerhard for suggesting I upload a sample. What you will hear in
this 19mb file. First 2minutes are commercials which sound fine, next several
minutes of CNN coverage of an Impeachment trial preview. Full of jerky
glitches. After that, back to good sounding commercials, and lastly again
several seconds of glitchy CNN. Please download this from

Hi All: I guess I may have been on this list in 2015. Have no idea if its still
active?
I ripped an audio stream of CNN from tunein during an Impeachment Senate Trial
this year. Commercials sound quite good, but when CNN anchors as well as Seante
audio are playing, it has a sound of a jerking tape. When I tried looking up
this type of issue, it mentions avidemux to fixit. I wrote an author of that
program, who says I need to examin fps through mpv. So-far we are not making
progress. Can any1 please suggest any tools, especially commandline Debian
which would correct these audio glitches? If any1 wanted to hear any of these 3
recording, I could certainly upload to my web-site, but they range from 6-13
hours. Thanks so much in advance

I'm setting up Carla with all of the Strings SFZ's from Virtual Playing
Library, and I have noticed that all of them don't hold sustain when I hold
a MIDI key down, they peter out after some seconds. The same SFZ's don't
do this when run from Linuxsampler. Anyone know which attribute in the
SFZs need to be set to fix this? Or is there something I'm missing in
Carla?
