Hi everyone,
I've released new versions of Tapeutape (virtual sampler) and
Tranches(beatrepeat/redirect/rearrange).

SLV2 is a library to make the use of LV2 plugins as simple as possible
for applications.
Changes this release:
- I18N support, courtesy Lars Luthman
- New functions: slv2_port_get_value, slv2_instance_get_extension_data
- Fix slv2_plugin_get_supported_features
- Fancy new build system
- Some Mac portability stuff I think? Probably some other stuff too
Upgrading is not a life or death matter... OR IS IT?!

LV2 is a standard for plugins and matching host applications, mainly
targeted at audio processing and generation. LV2 is a simple but
extensible successor of LADSPA, intended to address the limitations of
LADSPA which many applications have outgrown.
This revision changes the data portion of the specification only (i.e.
lv2.h is unchanged).
*** IMPORTANT ***
This revision makes a simple but important clarification, relevant to
both host and plugin and authors:
A serialisation (i.e. save files, patch files, preset files, network
protocols, anything not associated with a specific plugin binary) which
refers to an LV2 port MUST do so using the port symbol and NOT the port
index. Of course, at runtime the index may still be used, as in LADSPA.
This is not a binary change.
See lv2.ttl for details and rationale, but in short this allows much
more elbow room for plugin authors to improve their plugins over time
without changing the URI, and opens the door for fully dynamic ports on
plugins without backwards compatibility issues, among other things.
Some developers have complained about the strict URI/versioning rules,
these issues are resolved in this revision without weakening
compatibility guarantees. Plugin authors: no more worrying about port
indices! Further discussion is best done on the LV2 development list,
see <http://lv2plug.in> for more information.
Upgrading and ensuring correctness is STRONGLY encouraged for host
authors, so plugin authors can apply this new freedom in practice.

Enjoy,
- The LV2 Team
On behalf of the entire Rivendell development team, I'm pleased to announce
the release of Rivendell v1.1.1. Rivendell is a full-featured radio
automation system targeted for use in professional broadcast environments. It
is available under the GNU General Public License. Changes in this release
include (from the NEWS file):
*** snip snip ***
This is a maintenance release of Rivendell. The following issues have been
corrected:
Fixed problems in RDLogManager with saving clocks and events with names
longer than 58 characters.
Removed vestigal 'Overlap' transition type in RDAdmin.
Corrected a problem in RDAdmin where certain services could not be selected
for inclusion in a report.
Added support for the '^' metacharacter in import paths in
RDAdmin->ManageServices to allow for uppercasing of date values [see the
date(1) man page for usage].
Corrected log machine behavior so that a hard start time event occurring
during a previously deferred hard start event will cancel the deferred
event.
Added logging for GPIO state transitions in the ripcd(8) log.
Database Update:
This version of Rivendell uses database schema version 162, and will
automatically upgrade any earlier versions. To see the current schema
version prior to upgrade, see RDAdmin->SystemInfo.
As always, be sure to run RDAdmin immediately after upgrading to allow
any necessary changes to the database schema to be applied.
*** snip snip ***

Hi everyone,
I've just opened a new website http://tardigrade-inc.com to release the
new versions of Tapeutape (virtual sampler) and Tranches(beat
repeat/redirect/rearrange).
These new versions include better gui, better lash support, and bug
corrections (thanks Ken Restivo). New features will follow.
You can find them here
http://www.tardigrade-inc.com/index.php/En/Tapeutape and here
http://www.tardigrade-inc.com/index.php/En/Tranches.
I'm working on some tutorials with videos, sounds and lash sessions.
They should be available soon.

Poitiers, France
Part of the 2008 edition of the make art festival, this 3-days workshop
taught by Andy Farnell (GB) and assisted by Stéphane Léveillé (FR) is
focused on sound design and Pure Data software. It aims to familiarize
with the basics of sound, audio synthesis and effects using Pd. While
learning how to build their own sounds and musical tools, the
participants will end up playing all together over the local network.

guitar sounds. There are controls for bass, treble, gain, preamp,
balance, distortion, freeverb, impulse response (), crybaby(wah) and
echo . A fixed resonator will be used when distortion is disabled. For
'pressure' in the sound you can use the feedback and feedforward
sliders.
changelog:
guitarix (0.02.7-1) unstable; urgency=low
* add suport for jconv
* use jack_capture_gui2 to create the comandline for jack_capture
* add preamp
* change preset handling to save by name include the jconv settings
* rework the distortion funktion
* add all effekts to the ladspa plugin

Hello world,
A first edition of the LAC2009 website is now
on line at
http://lac2009.linuxaudio.org
Apart from the initial announcement you'll
find there the calls for papers and music,
and some related documents.
More information will be added in the coming
weeks.
The site is (surprise !) hosted by linuxaudio.org,
site administrator is Robin Gareus, with design
and layout by Christoph Haag.
For the paper submission and review we are again
using openconf, with Frank Neumann at the controls.
Ciao,
