Drumstick is a set of MIDI libraries using C++/Qt idioms and style.
Includes a C++ wrapper around the ALSA library sequencer interface: ALSA
sequencer provides software support for MIDI technology on Linux. A
complementary library provides classes for processing SMF (Standard MIDI
files: .MID/.KAR), RIFF MIDI (.RMI), and Cakewalk (.WRK) file formats. A
multiplatform realtime MIDI I/O library and a GUI Widgets libraries are
also provided for Linux, Windows, and Mac OSX.
Changes in v2.6.1:
* All libraries: Fixed ticket #39, pkg-config files broken when
CMAKE_INSTALL_xxxDIR is absolute
* Utils: fixed the wrong icon when running on KDE+Wayland
Compilation minimum requirements for all platforms:
* C++11 compiler
* CMake 3.14
* Qt5 >= 5.9 or Qt6 >= 6.2 (with Qt6Core5Compat library dependency for
Drumstick::File)
Feature dependencies (for some platforms):
* ALSA (Linux only)
* PulseAudio (Unix)
* D-Bus (Unix)
* FluidSynth (All platforms)

The team are pleased to announce this is now available.
A major feature is the revision of the PadSynth engine, giving more dynamic
control.
We now support Undo/Redo for most settings.
Some controls in the main window are better placed and should be more obvious.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Drumstick (https://drumstick.sourceforge.io/docs/index.html) is a set of
GPLv3 licensed C++/Qt libraries for MIDI applications. The project includes
several tools as examples, and among them is the drumstick-guiplayer
utility that leverages the Drumstick::ALSA library, so it is available only
for Linux (because the ALSA sequencer is a linux only technology). Some
people have requested a program with the same functionalities also on
Windows and macOS, so here it is. But this project is much more ...
Some key features:
* MIDI Output to hardware MIDI ports, or any other Drumstick backends, like
soft synths
* Transpose song tonality between -12 and +12 semitones
* Change MIDI volume level (using MIDI CC7)
* Scale song speed between half and double tempo
* Supports MID/KAR/RMI (Standard MIDI Files) and WRK (Cakewalk) file
formats
This release is dedicated to the Galician Literature Day (May 17th).
Changes in v1.6.0:
* Czech translation updated. Thanks to Pavel Fric.
* New Galician translation and help page.
* New Galician song: Negra Sombra.
* New temporary Splash screen for Galician language users.
* Frameless CSD tool windows (channels, player piano, lyrics, help).
* Better compatibility with Qt6.
* Fixed the wrong icon shown in KDE+Wayland.
* Load translations earlier, for command line options.
* Avoid trying to load translations for English.
* Requires: drumstick-2.6.
Build requirements:
* C++11 compiler
* Qt5 >= 5.15 or Qt6 >= 6.2
* Drumstick libraries v2.6
* Uchardet v0.0.7
* CMake 3.14
* Pandoc (when BUILD_DOCS=on)

CollisionDrive is modeled after the Horizon Devices Precision Drive(*),
a modern overdrive pedal with a built-in noise gate.
Besides the usual Volume and Drive controls, the CollisionDrive features
Attack and Bright controls.
The Attack control manipulates the response of the pedal, turning it
down simultaneously softens the overdrive attack and increases the sustain.
The Bright control gives you even more flexibility. It can add presence
to darker sounding amps, or remove buzzing when needed.
The Gate control sets the noise gate threshold. In the plugin interface,
this control lights up to indicate that the noise gate is active.
