The Formant editor window has been made a bit more user friendly. The Command line can now use Yoshimi's Copy/Paste feature and stored presets. There are also minor bugfixes and general updates. [LAA] linuxaudio.org has moved!

Dear all, After having bivouacked for five years at Fuga we had to move. The Openstack region linuxaudio.org was camping on was being phased out and even though we were offered a courteous discount to stay on Fuga it was cheaper to move to a different hosting provider. So here we are at Hetzner with two small servers, one for mail and one for the websites, and a storage box for everything we don't use that often anymore. All in all everything went way more smoothly then back in February 2018. For some services and users it was a pretty seamless operation. We are still improving some bits here and there but in general we're in pretty good shape. Biggest hurdle was migrating from Mailman2 to Mailman3 but David Runge did a great job there, many thanks David! The wiki is now running on the latest version of Dokuwiki too and the underlying OS is recent and up to date again. It could be of course that things are missing or not working properly anymore, if so then please let us know! And a big thanks to Fuga for hosting us at no extra costs for five years. With a bit of a sad heart I shut down the Openstack instances but it was time to move on. Hosting does cost a small amount now, approx. €150 a year. We'll probably put up a page somewhere to facilitate in donating or funding the hosting of linuxaudio.org. We'll keep you posted on that. Best, Jeremy

Hello one third and last time this year, Qtractor 0.9.30 (end-of-year'22) is released! Change-log: - Plugin latency/delay compensation now in effect immediately after changing track option (cf. Track/Properties... /Plugins/Latency compensation). - Shade-off regions not-in-view from the thumb-views. - Improved MIDI queue time drift correction resilience and stability against in-flight tempo changes. - The main real-time process cycle now runs on uniform block-sizes, in strides of 64 frames per period, meaning a higher resolution automation, independent of buffer-size. - The internal main MIDI engine gets its ALSA sequencer queue to a higher resolution (PPQN aka ticks-per-beat) and not subordinated to the current session's anymore. - Although being deprecated to use, JACK Session support is hopefuly fixed, once again. - Better discriminate CLAP Plug-in specific note events and strict MIDI dialect event processing. [LAA] Rivendell v4.0.0rc1

On behalf of the entire Rivendell development team, I'm pleased to announce the availability of the second release candidate for the next major version of Rivendell, v4.0.0rc0. Rivendell is a full-featured radio automation system targeted for use in professional broadcast environments. It is available under the GNU General Public License version 2. From the 'NEWS' file: *** snip snip *** Changes: Major Changes Between v3.x and v4.x: Qt Toolkit. Rivendell v4.x uses and is fully compatibile with major version 5 of Qt (Qt5). See the INSTALL documents for specifics. Date/Time Customizability. Date/Time presentation formats can now be customized on the basis of site preferences. MySQL Compatibility. Rivendell v4.x aims for full compatibility with MySQL 8.0 and earlier versions in their default installation configurations. RDAirPlay. The rdairplay(1) module has been completely overhauled, and now supports dynamic resizeability as well as a revamped level metering system. RDPanel. The rdpanel(1) module now supports dynamic resizing. RDLogManager. It is now possible to disable grid processing on a service-by-service basis, thus permitting a complete schedule to be generated by an external music scheduler.
