I'm pleased to announce the release of guitarix2-0.42.0
A virtual guitar amplifier for Linux running with jack (Jack Audio
Connection Kit) released under the
GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation;
either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
ZamAudio <https://github.com/zamaudio> meets Guitarix
https://github.com/zamaudio
For this release Damien Zammit from ZamAudio has reworked our tube
emulation.
This improved beside the overall sound, the dynamic responses of the
different tube simulations.
Be aware please, that this may break your existing presets, but,
we believe that the improvement in sound is it worse
to force you to readjust your presets to match the new tube sims.
Further news are:
Reworked French translation by Olivier Humbert
Add DC-Blocker on the Input
Add Output Limiter
Add Volume controls for the Power Amp plugin
Fix version checks for needed packages
Fix several small Bugs and hopefully don't introduce to much new ones

Ladies and Gentlemen,
exactly seven years after the first code (2013-12-18) the Laborejo Software Suite releases the initial version of it's main program:
Laborejo in Version 2.0.0 (1.0 was a prototype).
While far from being a stable, optimized or polished program it is time to finally release a build into the public.
Marketing Text:
Laborejo (Esperanto: Workshop) is a MIDI sequencer based on classical music notation. Its main purpose is to compose and produce "traditional" music, such as instrumental pieces, soundtracks and other music normally played back by samplers.
Unlike other notation editors Laborejo is not meant primarily to print out sheets of notation but to create music for your computer: You get all the tools you know from other midi sequencers for maximum fine control to get exactly the music you want!
Working in Laborejo is very fast and efficient by using a combination of midi input and typing.
It is released under GPLv3.
You can find all releases as sources here. Also check your distribution
for packages in a few days after this announcement, please.

Hello Everyone,
PianoBooster is back! It has been a very long time since there has been an
announcement about PianoBooster posted to this list and there have been
lots of changes. First there is a brand new website see
https://www.pianobooster.org/ and the official source code has just moved
to a new GitHub repo. See https://github.com/pianobooster/PianoBooster so
please update your URLs to point to this new website and repo.
Piano Booster is an Open Source program that helps with playing the piano
and learning to sight read music. It's key feature is that it listens and
follows what you are playing on the piano and waits for you to find and
play the right notes. It helps you with this by giving you audio feedback.
So if you play a wrong note then that note will have the Harpsichord sound
but the right notes
will have the Piano sound.
The new features in this release is a built-in FluidSynth sound generator
which makes it much easier to use. Also included are two music courses,
Please see https://www.pianobooster.org/music-info.html
For a video demonstration see:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGbfm8Tv-20
PianoBooster is licensed under GPL and runs on Linux, Windows and the Mac.
PianoBooster is available from: https://www.pianobooster.org .
Thanks
Louis

On behalf of the entire Rivendell development team, I'm pleased to
announce the availability of the next production release of the next
major version of Rivendell, 3.5.0. Rivendell is a full-featured radio
automation system targeted for use in professional broadcast
environments. It is available under the GNU General Public License
version 2.
From the 'NEWS' file:
Changes:
*** snip snip ***
Changes:
Podcasting Subsystem. Major refactoring, with explicit support of
iTunes and Superfeed DTDs added. All feed elements, including XML elements,
are now statically served rather than dynamically generated.
RDLogManager. Added control to specify explicitly how Start
Times/Lengths are derived for Inline Events (traffic, markers and
voice tracks).
Dropboxes. Added the ability to generate e-mail reports for each
attempted file import.
GVC7000 Switcher Driver. Modified the 'GVC7000 Protocol' switcher
driver to better handle stacked commands.
WebGet. Modified the WebGet service to offer audio profiles when
exporting audio rather than having the user set individual export
parameters. Added the ability to upload audio files into specified
Rivendell groups.
Audio Library. Deprecated the ability to enforce unique cart titles.
Various bugfixes. See 'ChangeLog' for details.
Database Update:
This version of Rivendell uses database schema version 346, and will
automatically upgrade any earlier versions. To see the current schema
version prior to upgrade, see RDAdmin->SystemInfo.
Be sure to run 'rddbmgr --modify' (as root) immediately after upgrading
to allow any necessary changes to the database schema to be applied.
