DrumGizmo 0.9.17 Released! DrumGizmo is an open source, multichannel, multilayered, cross-platform drum plugin and stand-alone application. It enables you to compose drums in midi and mix them with a multichannel approach. It is comparable to that of mixing a real drumkit that has been recorded with a multimic setup. In this release we tried to jam in as many of our planned changes to the xml as possible. There are still a few more to go but this release has brought us a large step closer to our feature-complete xml format. Quite a few other major features has also found their way into this release, which will be much more visible (and audible) to the users. Highlights: Improved sample selection algorithm. Clicky-kit feature. Midnam support. Directed choke functionality. Drumkit metadata support. Experimental Cocoa UI support for MacOSX. Also some bug fixes and a lot of code refactoring (replaced eXpat with pugixml for one). Zrythm v0.5.162 (alpha) has been released! [LAA] Beast 0.14.0 released

Beast version 0.14.0 is released. Beast is a Free Software (LGPLv2+) music synthesizer and audio composer. It provides a #MIDI #sequencer, unlimited undo, real-time #synthesis, support for Linux #Audio Plugins (#LADSPA), Soundfont 2, WAV, AIFF, Vorbis, Gus Patch, FLAC and MP3 files, 32bit audio rendering, full duplex support, multi-core audio rendering and SIMD utilisation. [LAA] jack_link 0.0.9 is out there!

On the other news: Maybe not as compelling as any of those bad old Qstuff*;) but jack_link [1] has made it to version 0.0.9... Yeah, some weeks ago already, must I tell ya ;) jack_link [1] is a JACK [2] time-base--and now also a transport--kinda-proof-of-concept bridge to Ableton Link [3], which already goes into its V3 incarnation. In a (long, rather boring) sentence, this means that jack_link is now a bilateral bridge--read two-way--to JACK time-base master to Ableton Link [3] local-cloud;) and vice-versa. The usual 'caveat emptor' rule applies. It may work well--if at all--on some JACK [2] clients and incredibly FUBAR for others (!). To speak the truth, it has been only tested with--and you know what--yours truly Qtractor. And that's what makes me happy :) Hope it makes you too!
