Another in the MP3-editing-without-recording department...
I had a look at MP3wrap, but I'm looking for a way to actually create a
long MP3, rather than an MP3 'archive'...
Again, preferably command line...
Really appreciated your help so far and am looking forward to hearing
from you

Hi again!
This time I've got a noise removal job to do... Digital recordings with
a fair amount of tape recorder noise in the background.
I've been playing with sox, but I get these odd 'Space Alien'
artifacts... Can anyone tell me how to use sox properly? Or suggest
something better? Preferably command line, automatable...
Thanks
Carlo

hey guys,
i've googled a bit and searched the archives and can't find much regarding doing
low-latency work on a dell inspiron 1150 - i'm in the position to buy one cheap
from a coworker, and wondered if anyone had experience with one.
assuming i ignore the builtin sound and go with a USB or PCMCIA device, anyone
know what kind of performance i could expect from it? my main hope is to use
jack, freewheeling, pd; possibly fluidsynth or linuxsampler. freewheeling's my
main concern.
thanks!

Hi there!
Does anyone know of a good piece of software (command line or GUI) which
lets you edit (and especially split) MP3 files without de-coding to WAV?
Any suggestions very welcome, thanks...

not sure if it uses any code from established CMS's ... it is the newly
gpl'd ccHost:
http://wiki.creativecommons.org/wiki/CcHost
looks a lot like mambo, though

gee, thanx! coming from someone who's got a killer site themselves, it
means a lot! which reminds me - i haven't put up a link to
opensourcemusic.info ... will do ;)

hi, everyone...
i am new to the list, and am just starting back in the electronic
music realm. i did alot of work about ten years ago (on windows), but
have been busy with other things since then..
i am looking at using linux as my base system, just because it's my
platform of choice.. i am also a serious open source dork..
anyway... i have alot of questions, but i will start with that on a
separate post..
first up, i would like to ask if anyone has any music samples they
made using linux based systems..
next, are there any podcasts featuring linux based music?
if no one knows of any, and if there is enough music out there to
make put a weekly podcast together, i would be willing to do one and
add it to our podcast collective (www.castawaysmedia.com).
i would really like to hear what people are doing..
also, i have started documenting the setup of my linux and music box
here:

thanks!
