Hi all,
thanks for the replies.
The problem is, Thorsten, that I don't understand most of what you said.

Could you explain the above more simply?

And this?
Excuse me, but I'm pretty new in computer music, and still not used
with this terminology.
Bye.

However, the LADSPA standard has full support for time machines. Thats
what the latency port is for. (Not very fun running ardour with a 10
seconds latency perhaps though...)
Don't seem to play well together. So I have Jack running happilly, open
Audacity and both die on audacity startup. Audacity then runs. Have got
Audacity running through Alsa. Any ideas?

Hi,
Anyone here using Xjadeo with Ubuntu Edgy? It used to work in the
previous Dapper but now I only get a white window and no video. In
Dapper I had the same problem before and the solution was to remove
Option "Composite" "Enable" from the X11/xorg.conf file. This time
that didn't work.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Hector
Hi all,
First time I post here. I've been reading you for a couple of days.
Here is a draft composition made with Rosegarden, ZynAddSubFX and Hydrogen :

The track isn't finished, it's just a first idea.
What do you think? Any advice is welcome.
Thank you.

Thats actually impossible. :-)
Maybe you are starting an older version of jack_capture?
Which version of jack_capture did you install from RPM?
Please also try "type -a jack_capture" and "/usr/local/bin/jack_capture".

Did you mean "No valid ports selected"?
In case, you only need to write "jack_capture", and thats it, the
--port argument is not necessary. Please also write why you felt the
need to use the --port argument, I probably have to change the
documentation.
In case not, please post the complete output from the terminal, including
the command you used to start jack_capture.
Ciao!
I was wondering if any of the drum machine
applications can import drum tabulatures? Anyone have
any idea? I looked at Hydrogen's feature set but seems
like Hydrogen does not support such feature yet. Any
other drum software that supports this feature?
Here's an example of drum tabulature:
C = Crash
H = Hi-Hat
S = Snare
B = Bass
Verse 1
C|x-------x-------|
H|--x-x-x---x-x-x-|
S|--o---o---o---o-|
B|o---o---o---o---|

I don't know of any RPM...
Installing jack_capture is very very though:
apt-get install jack-devel
apt-get install libsndfile-devel
wget http://www.notam02.no/arkiv/src/jack_capture-0.3.9.tar.gz
tar xvzf jack_capture-0.3.9.tar.gz
cd jack_capture-0.3.9
make
make install
/usr/local/bin/jack_capture -h
Hi the list,
I have a problem with the GUI of Ardour.
I manipulated the main windows of Ardour with the mouse to resize it ant
some inside windows, as the regions/name window and all windows on the
left side, disapear (the leftbottom part of the window editor overlap
the region/name window)
I tryed to fix it by recompiling but no change, the appearance of the
editor window still the same, and it's not very convenient to workwith.
I'm working on gnome but I've got the same problem on fluxbox.
Someone have an idea where i can search (Am i enough clear ?)
Best regards
P'tit Louis
