Hey everyone!
As you guys know, I mostly make ambient music. For years all of my releases
were project "droning" related, however today I am proud to announce a new
standalone ambient album called "Cryptodome".
https://louigi.bandcamp.com/album/cryptodome
"Cryptodome II" and "Cryptodome III" were mostly made using Linux Audio.
"Cryptodome I" made in FL Studio.

The man who first inspired me with synthesised sound and music is no more :(
R.I.P. Mr Tomita. You've more than earned it.

Hi there!
I'm looking for the best MIDI-Controller for using Ardour as a live
mixing console. I know the Mackie Control Universal (Pro), but I wonder
if there is another (not-so-well-known) manufacturer that does the job
even better.
By the way: What's the difference between MCU and MCU Pro? And how does
this affect Linux Users?
Is there a manufacturer that offers Linux Software for (better/easier)
configuration?

Oh gosh. "Popcorn" from "Music to Moog By," composed by Gershon Kingsley
(later "covered" or adapted by other people including J. M. Jarre)--
https://youtu.be/oYTu__hhMws
I bought that album and "The Plastic Cow Goes Moog," by Mike Melvoin--

The Moog synthesizer was such a rage back then after Wendy (was Walter)
Carlos's "Switched On Bach" came out (I had to buy a copy immediately), and
as a new electronic instrument was completely out of economic reach of most
musicians.
Such good memories. :-)

At a bit of a lose end this evening, but too wide-awake to go to bed, I had a
look through some of my older music. This one I originally composed for a
Kara-Moon quarterly review but for some reason I don't think I ever posted it
here. Still, better late than never :)

It uses only Rosegarden and Yoshimi.

Hi there linux audio users,
Over the past several years the ZynAddSubFX team has been trying to modernize
our versatile synth.
It has gained some pretty significant features such as MIDI learn, LV2/VST
plugin versions, near full realtime safety, and remote user interface support.
One thing which hasn't changed all that much structurally though has been the
user interface.
As a next major step for the project is a full rewrite of the UI, replacing
the current junk-drawer of knobs with a much easier to navigate and explore
interface based off of a mockup by Budislav Stepanov [1][2].
This UI will be a single window design, which will be resizable, present more
consistent means of interaction, present more interactive views on synthesizer
data, and be built with touch interfaces in mind.
In order to make this a possibility I'm going to be working full-time on this
for a few months and releasing it under an open-source eventually model.
As this is a huge project and zyn is relatively well known in the LA
community, I'd like to solicit feedback about this interface project and
general usability/interface issues that already exist.
This feedback is incredibly valuable and it will help greatly in
making this next
step forward what the larger community wants.
Here's a short survey on the topic:

For those of you which might be interested in hearing about this project as it
progresses, there's an announcement-only mailing list at:

Thanks for taking the time to read this and providing any feedback,

Hi everyone!
My KB suddenly stopped working in Qtractor :(
I'm using 0.7.6 (From lovely KX) under (up to date) Ubuntu 14.04 ; I
tried using the KB in other Qt apps I have installed like SMPlayer, it
works, but I still somehow suspect Qt5 :)
That, and me triggering (I'm recording acoustic guitars, it always
becomes a hectic mess real quick) some sort of weird behaviour...
Does this KB problem sound familiar to any of you?

Hi there!
For my work as an event technician, the use of an MIDI-controllable
video player would ease my life. I don't mean xjadeo, which can sync to
mtc - wich is cool, but doesn't fit to my setup. I mean something like
playing a note on a keyboard signals the player to play, pause or stop
the video, another note to switch to the next video in the playlist,
and so on...
Maybe, there's already a plugin for mplayer or xine that can do this?
My experiments with vlc didn't succeed...

Hi list,
I need a simple tilt equalizer but I can't find one in ladspa/lv2
directories.
Form my needs I think that a tilt eq with simple "tilt" parameter should
be enough. A "tilt frequency" would be a plus.
Do you know any ladspa/lv2 plugin that is able to do that?
Thank you,

Hi!
Sorry for my dumpness, but I need vlc to connect to the output-ports 9
and 10 of my RME HDSP via jack. I tried:
vlc --jack-connect-regex system:playback_9 track01.mp3
which works perfectly, but mono. (Both outputs of the mp3-file are
routed to playback_9.)
But I need a stereo connection to playback_9 and playback_10 and I just
don't know how to express that with regex... :(
