[LAU] xjadeo compatible format from kdenlive

Hello, I'm hoping that someone on this list is an xjadeo/kdenlive expert and can help me out. I also posted in the kdenlive forums. I have not been able to find a rendering format this is compatible with xjadeo. The error xjadeo gives is Index Error. File is not suitable. I read that this has something to do with "index frames". A workaround I have is to export the project in kdenlive, and then convert it in handbrake with their "Vimeo Youtube HQ 1080p60 preset". The reason why this works seems to be the following text in the "More Settings:" in Handbrake: keyint=30:min-keyint=15:ref=1:bframes=2:b-pyramid=none I tried to create a preset in kdenlive with the above settings in Parameters. It worked when I ran a test on a short (ca. 1 minute) video, but the same error above occurs when i export a longer (ca. 1 hour) video. Does anyone have an idea of a failsafe format for xjadeo from kdenlive? Thank you! [LAU] DGEdit (DrumGizmo's kit creator) 0.10 Release

DGEdit version 0.10 has been released The official drumgizmo drumkit creation tool, DGEdit, has been released. New in this version is a completely reworked UI with the possibility to create a full drumkit with several instruments instead of just one instrument and also the option to save the session in a .dgedit file. [LAU] Output port for Jack audio over bluetooth

Hey yall Anyone have any success with using jack to output audio so any jack compatible apps can play through a speaker? Successfully have used bluealsa to aplay audio and pulseaudio (which I wouldn't prefer to use) to connect with a Bluetooth device as an audio sink, a2dp. But I've failed to make output ports so that I could actually output anything over bluealsa (I want to use this for live audio use, not just playing premade files via aplay), and the pulseaudio bridge input ports don't actually play any signal over bluetooth, though pulseaudio based apps like firefox do work, I can't force any other audio through. Suggestions, insights, examples welcome, and thanks in advance for any feedback Best regard's to all and hope to see yall at LAC, I'll be going for my first time

[LAU] Bristol audio failed with JACK

Hey hey, I just started Bristol and encountered a few difficulties. In the end my peril might have been that Bristol/Brighton reported that the audio failed. Using the following command I also got a message complaining about not being able to connect the the graphic display: startBristol -cli -audio jack -midi alsa -b3 I also tried different emulations and using bristol directly. Adding the -gui option (apparently to disable/not start the GUI) and -verbose option. It always failed and never specified the audio problem. The ALSA driver was correctly started and the sequencer port showed up as expected, before Bristol timed out trying to setup the audio. Any ideas? I have a feeling that I needed to do something more, but it's been a while. [LAU] Aeolus segfaulting

Hey hey, after a long time, I have started Aeolus again, with the following command: aeolus -J -S /usr/share/aeolus/stops After all registers are retuned Aeolus segfaults in the readline initialisation. Gdb tells me that the last message comes from libncursesw.so.6 (no specific function). I am running Aeolus 0.9.7 from the Arch Linux community repo. I have also tried installing this version manually, with the same result. Checking with Gdb the correct aeolus_txt.so file is loaded from the correct aeolus executable, i.e. /usr/local/bin/aeolus for the self-built version. I have not encountered any other issues with ncurses or readline based programs. Ncurses version: 6.1.6 Readline version: 8.0.0 One system specialty: the terminals are resized using stty, to get an effective size of 80x30. Can some one verify this issue with the text UI? Any suggested remedies perhaps? [LAU] Plugin recommendation: chorus for voice

Hey hey, I know this holds many opening for personal taste, but... I am looking for a good chorus plugin (LADSPA or LV2) to put on voice for an electronic piece. Think lush pads, reverb and an ambient feel. I am looking for some stereo width and perceptible chorusing without being so aggressive as to disguise the itch of the vocals. I am usually working with the CAPS chorus and lately with the CS2 chorus. But somehow I don't like the CAPS one on monophonic instruments/vocals and the Csound chorus is missing the stereo element. Any suggestions are welcome.
