Due some live thinbgs I decided to release horgand-1.14. http://horgand.berlios.de Also you can try the DSSI plugin available on the website. NEWS ---------- Hundreds of new presets (Strings, Brass, ... ) availables on the website. Five new waveforms. All the waveforms are available for LFO and DSP effects. Back to ALSA if JACK is not available. Code improved for less CPU usage. Some minor bugs fixed. ---------- Thanks. Josep

Vamp plugin SDK v1.1b now available

Version 1.1b of the Vamp plugin SDK is now available. http://www.vamp-plugins.org/ Vamp is a plugin API for audio analysis and feature extraction plugins written in C or C++. Its SDK features an easy-to-use set of C++ classes for plugin and host developers, a reference host implementation, example plugins, and documentation. It is supported across Linux, OS/X and Windows. Version 1.1b is a minor update with a small number of build and bug fixes. The prior version 1.1 of the SDK introduced a new set of classes designed to make it very simple for an application to use Vamp plugins, without needing to do complicated plugin lookup or audio processing themselves. Plugins and hosts remain 100% binary compatible with those built using the 1.0 version of the SDK. Chris

Q 7.8 released

Hi all, I've just released Q 7.8 which sports some important bugfixes and some nice new features. The most important addition probably is that Q now has a complete Qt interface. You can find the sources and a ready-made RPM for Linux (which contains almost everything surrounding Q, including the interfaces to Faust, MidiShare, Pd and SuperCollider and the multimedia examples) on the Q download page: http://q-lang.sourceforge.net/download.html For those of you who haven't heard about Q yet: It is a GPLed, modern-style functional programming language with good library support for multimedia and computer music applications. (Somewhat like Haskell, but interpreted and dynamically typed, and with much better system and multimedia libraries.) On behalf of Andreas Persson, I am pleased to announce the release of gigedit 0.1.0 [1], an instrument editor for gig files. You can find a screenshot here[2]. * With gigedit it is possible to modify existing, as well as to create new Gigasampler format instruments from scratch, which are not only accepted by LinuxSampler, but now also by Gigastudio. * You can run gigedit as stand-alone application or "attached"[3] to LinuxSampler. The latter case allows you to play and edit instruments at the same time, making all your modifications immediately audible, without having to reload the instruments into a sampler. * You can simply edit instruments by selecting the respective sampler channel and clicking on "Edit" in either QSampler or JSampler, which automatically spawns gigedit in "attached" mode. Plese notice that this is still a very young instrument editor, so better backup your .gig files before editing them with this application! [ANN] LV2 vocoder plugin released

This is first release of the LV2 vocoder. Code is based on version 0.3 of LADSPA plugin created by Josh Green. LADSPA plugin created by Josh Green is basically an adaption of Achim Settelmeier's Vocoder program to LADSPA. AlsaPlayer 0.99.80-rc4 is out!

This is a bugfix and feature improvement release. Madej added a song title in the title bar option. Several bugs was fixed. Among them, libmad was fixed in configure and a possible horrible crash when upgrading from a gtk1 AlsaPlayer version was fixed. Every user is encouraged to upgrade. AlsaPlayer 0.99.80-rc3 released

AlsaPlayer 0.99.80-rc3 is out! This is mainly a bugfix release. 2 important bugs was fixed: - AlsaPlayer crash at start up due to loading of the gtk1 config file when present. The gtk2 config file is loaded in all cases now. - Possible buffer overflow in the vorbis input plugin. Other fixes include a new and updated Swedish translation and an updated man page. Every user is encouraged to upgrade. Hopefully, as the GTK2 interface is working reliably, this will be the last -rc release before 0.99.80. Please contribute with bug reports and artwork.
