Either I am missing some name in the error messages and not searching for the right package, or something else is going on and I completely misinterpreted the error messages. Using the Java 17 JDK (latest LTS release, java-17-openjdk-17.0.4.0.8-1.fc36) and the git head from Edisyn downloaded today (1 Aug). Anyone else have experience with either building this package, or similar Java error messages and could point me in the right direction? -- Chris Caudle

Control via shortcuts, track editor, or track-list widget * New function to create a new empty block from an existing one, that has reserved duration same as the original one. * Add more time signatures to the quick-insert dialog: 8/4, three variants of 7/8, two variants of 5/4 and more. Also reorder and better labels. * Add context menu to move CC Blocks to start or end of a track * Fix splitting of notes that were created by a previous split. * Block Mode: Fix invisible block labels and graphics when dragging blocks (adopting to unannounced Qt regressions once again) * Barlines more visible * Undo for initial metrical instruction and key sig (track editor) * Prevent block operations to jump to the cursor position in the GUI. Less jumpy. * Show first block name in track-list widget * Overhaul Key Signature GUI dialog to indicate "Deviation" better, instead of absolute accidentals. * Various small fixes, like typos in variable names and wrong string quotes. Small things can crash as well. * Update German translation * Lilypond Export: * Add transposition of the whole score to properties and metadata dialog * Only set tempo markings in parenthesis when user provided a string like Allegro * Add lilypond template filename to properties and metadata dialog. Yoshimi V2.2.1 out now.

There are just a few useful variations to the way Yoshimi is controlled in this minor release. A new 'reset' button in the part edit window. More windows stay open when you change parts. Two new instruments have been added to the default banks. Some doc updates and bugfixes. All instruments are permanently built-in. All projects and all users have the same setup, ideal for communication and collaboration. Fluajho (with jh as in pleasure) means fluid in Esperanto. It is a simple sf2 soundfont host/player for Linux. Behind the scenes the Fluidsynth library is at work, hence the name. Changelog Highlights: [All] Turn off auto connecting the audio ports. [music] I wanna

Hey hey, recently, the question of "summer songs" arose, so here's my contribution: https://youtu.be/0OW6Qa_CPgo OGG version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ff0qzoj7cn0ona2/i_wanna.ogg On the Linux side I used Yoshimi, a lot of Csound and LinuxSampler. On the hardware side: the old Waldorf Microwave Xt for the main bass, Behringer Neutron for the layered sub-bass, RD-8 for 808 drums, Roland JV-1080 for the rest of the drums, 0-Coast for the pluck layer and the MiniBrute for the chord sequence. Csound came in very handy as my sidechain compressor and to perfect the chord sequence, by stereo width automation, delay, reverb and again sidechain compression to get the delay and reverb tails out of the way. :) Finally, Csound is responsible for the riser and the layered pitch corrected voice. Autotalent: questions about the parameter ranges and meaning

Hey hey, I tried to use autotalent again and couldn't make it work. I'm using it from the commandline, so I only see the ports with their underlying numeric ranges. So I'd like to ask a few questions about meanings/mechanisms of the parameters. The note name parameters, i.e. A, Bb, B, ... what do these paremters do? Select a scale? So setting Bb to -1 will correct a detected Bb to A? "Output scale rotate (scale notes)" I can't make any sense of this one. The rest seems clear enough. When I've used it so far "pull to fixed pitch" has worked very well, as did formant warp. But the basic pitch correction I couldn't get to work. I did apply a good deal of compression before the plugin to make pitch detection easier, but to no avail. So I think I set some of the parameters incorrectly, didn't realise the interdependence of controls. I'd be very grateful if someone could help me find my feet with this plugin.
