Vee One Suite 0.9.2 - A Summer'18 Release

Awe! The 'Vee One Suite' of so called 'old-school' software instruments, synthv1 [1] as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1 [2] a polyphonic sampler synthesizer, drumkv1 [3] as yet another drum-kit sampler and padthv1 [4] as a polyphonic additive synthesizer, are here released for the northern Summer'18. All available in dual standard forms: - a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session [5], NSM (Non Session management [6]) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI [7] input support; - a LV2 instrument plug-in [8]. The mostly common change-log for the hot-season is as follows: - Frame-time display format option added to new offset, loop-start and loop-end spin-boxes. (applies to samplv1 [2] and also partially to drumkv1 [3]) - Sample start point (offset) added as a brand new property parameter. (samplv1 [2] and drumkv1 [3] only) - Add LV2 UI Resize extension data support. - Process MIDI Controlllers even though the channel filter is on (DEF Channel is set anything but "Omni"). - AppData/AppStream metadata is now settled under an all permisssive license (FSFAP). [LAD] [LAU] Guitarix 0.37.3 released

Guitarix release 0.37.0 Guitarix is a tube amplifier simulation for jack (Linux), with an additional mono and a stereo effect rack. Guitarix includes a large list of LV2 and LADSPA plugins, and support LADSPA / LV2 plugs as well in it's racks. The guitarix engine is designed for LIVE usage, and feature ultra fast, glitch and click free preset switching and is full Midi and remote controllable (the Web UI is not included in the distributed tar ball). Hello, The second annual Sonoj Convention ( https://www.sonoj.org ) will be taking place this upcomming October 27th-28th 2018 in Cologne, Germany. The convention is focusing on the combination of music production and open source software with a priority on practical music production. At Sonoj there will be talks, demonstrations, and workshops from demonstrating basic workflows to detailled instructions on how to subtly improve your sound. While the event will take place in Germany, all presentations and workshops will be in English, recored and streamed to make them easily accessible to a wide audience. We want to welcome everyone, regardless of your musical or technical background. QmidiCtl 0.5.2 - An(other) Early Summer'18 Release

Hello there! QmidiCt 0.5.2 (early summer'18) is out! QmidiCt [1] is a MIDI remote controller application that sends MIDI data over the network, using UDP/IP multicast. Inspired by multimidicast [6] and designed to be compatible with ipMIDI for Windows [7]. For all you 'meridional' fans: don't ever take this as some kind of a disadvantage: you'll sure have it perfect and practice while northlings may go party and bust, whatever ;) Still available in the so called dual standard forms, for Linux anyway: - a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session [5], NSM (Non Session management [6]) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI [7] input support; - a LV2 instrument plug-in [8]. AV Linux 2018.6.25 ISO Update with UEFI Fixes Released!

Hi everyone, AV Linux 2018.6.25 (aka "50 years of GMaq!") has been released, I have entered a new decade today and want to celebrate with an improved AVL Release.. The April AV Linux 2018.4.12 release had a lot of improvements and updates with regards to the Audio and Video applications but some improvements needed to be made for systems with UEFI booting and systems with recent AMD Video display adapters not covered by SGFXI. I personally have no UEFI (or AMD) computers to test with and only could use VirtualBox for UEFI testing and thanks to bug reports from a few users and several fixes provided by our forum member 'korakios' I think many of the issues for actual hardware UEFI machines have now been addressed. If you have already successfully installed and updated AV Linux 2018.4.12 then you will not really need to be concerned with the updated June ISOs. Fixes/Improvements: -New 4.16 kernel with full RT Preempt and improved support for newer AMD Video cards. -threadirqs was accidentally removed from the grub boot options, now fixed. -UEFI boots that failed due to missing FAT32 ascii modules should now be fixed. -Unetbootin boot failures due to missing FAT32 ascii modules should now be fixed. -Virtualbox Guest Additions will now be automatically removed on Non-Virtualbox installs. -Cinelerra 5.1 (aka Cin) has a new functionality to support LV2 Audio Plugins (initial release, may require restart on first run). -LSP Plugins are updated to 1.1.2 -Cleaned up wrong menu entry of ZynAddSubFX JACK multi -Updated relevant info in the AV Linux User Manual. A huge thanks to korakios for the work on UEFI improvements and trulan for the updated 4.16 kernels, thanks also to those who provided bug reports and tested ISOs, your time is very much appreciated! Guitarix release 0.37.1 Guitarix is a tube amplifier simulation for jack (Linux), with an additional mono and a stereo effect rack. Guitarix includes a large list of LV2 and LADSPA plugins, and support LADSPA / LV2 plugs as well in it's racks.
